Its 50 degrees in Michigan in January... do you know where your girlfriend is?

Mine is out riding... Riding her motorcycle because it is the most enjoyable mode of transport known to man (and woman!), and she's also out riding the second most enjoyable mode of transport around-- a skateboard. I painted up the board for her for X-mas, and she finally got around to putting it all together and is now currently shredding a concrete bowl while I type away behind a computer.... blasts! Scope the fish board, a.k.a. Laurence Fishboard. It features all four of our pet goldfish. Yes we have goldfish and yes she's out riding motorcycles and skateboards in the middle of January. Could this get any wilder?! I think not. Needless to say, I'm ripe with jealously.

When I was shooting the Greg's "Rubber Band XS" for our calendar, I knew I wanted to get the bike in the mag as a full feature too. After shooting the lovely Antonella, I had Greg hop on the bike and do some slow laps around so I could get some riding shots.
Well i'm pretty sure he either didn't hear the 'slow' part of my request, or just choose to tear it up anyways. He got on the bike and just got all sorts of squirly with it. I love sequences like this. Why do I even bother to tell the guys to get on it slow so i can get some riding shots? Fuck it, get on it fast and angry like you're trying to kill it!

Coming soon to issue #108

We're wrapping up issue #108 today, and I just put the finishing touches on the lay out for Eric Allard's "Clementine" XS650 chop. This thing is seriously so bad ass. There are a boat load of XS's running around now-a-days, but I feel it's a pretty rare occurrence when one really stands out from the rest.
I'm not going to give away all the great photo's we used in the feature, but here's my favorite shot from the set. (photo by Jason Hallman.)
And just to give you an idea of what other kind of stuff Eric builds, check out this wild BMW thing... It took home an award at last year's Willies show.

Broc's Kaw...

As featured in Issue 106.
There is a pretty interesting story behind the build, you'll want to read it.
And after you read it, you'll want to get a hold of Broc and his shop. BUT, I think there was a misprint in the mag. The shop's contact info is as follows: Brock Dunlop, 602-515-2285
Sorry bout' that mate!

I've got a 78 XS650 (picked it up for $100 complete and running!) in the front room of my trailer that I just pulled the motor out of and am getting ready to chop the frame up for a hard tail. After seeing the Mad Max bike, I want to do something similar to mine as I like the look and especially the fact that he only has about $600 into it.
I've been searching the net all morning and the 650 chopper sites but couldn't find any more pics of that bike, just wanted to know if you guys had anymore photos of the bike or if this guy has a link to a website with more pics, that would be awesome.
Thanks for your time and keep up the awesome job on the mag, it's the only bike mag I will purchase because you guys keep it real!

Joe Zulker
Here ya go Joe!
More pictures and the rest of the story can be found in issue 106, on news stands right now!
